Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac, Clear, Product No. 00301

How to apply Zinsser Bulls Eye™ Finish & Sealer to your wood floors & furniture.

Bulls Eye Clear Shellac gives wood a clear, natural glow with a lustrous mid-gloss finish that will not yellow or darken with age.  You can use this product on any interior surface where you would like to have a golden-tone finish - even masonry and metal.

Remember to stir well before using.  By applying several thin coats, you will find it much easier to apply and will look better than thick heavy coats.

Below are steps to use Zinnser Bull Eye Shellac on wood floors.

Step 1:
Apply one thin and even coat using a quality brush, lint free cloth or sprayer and let dry 1 hour before sanding with 220 or finer grit sandpaper.

Step 2:
Once dried, remove all dust and apply second coat.  Allow any following coats to dry at least 1 hour before sanding lightly and recoating.

  • You can also use Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac on doors, trims, paneling, cabinets and furniture:  Apply 1 or 2 coats, then let dry before sanding with 220 grit or finer sandpaper to ensure a smooth finish.

  • Use Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac as a Protective Sealer for your tools, golf clubs, toys and more!  This product will even stick to glass and ceramic tile.

  • Use Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac as an Odor Sealer as well.  Two coats of the shellac will seal odors in bare (or coated) drywall, masonry, plaster, woodwork and furniture.
Each gallon of Zinsser 00301 Bulls Eye Shellac covers approximately 400-600 sq. ft. per gallon.  It may vary due to coats used and porosity of different surfaces.  It also dries to the touch in 30 minutes or less.  Wait one hour before recoating.

Fluidmaster 680 Toilet Tank Lever - How to Install

How to install your new Fluidmaster 680 Toilet Tank Lever

(Looking to purchase one?  Click the following link to purchase - Fluidmaster 680 Toilet Tank Lever for $3.49)

This particular toilet lever is in a white finish and installed in only 5 easy steps.

Step 1:  Remove tank lid.  Disconnect the flapper chain/linkage from the existing lever.  Unthread nut from old lever.  Remove old lever from tank.

Step 2:  For standard front mounting tanks, go to step 3.  For a side or angle mount tank, slowly bend new lever arm to match the shape of the old lever arm.  DO NOT BEND ARM QUICKLY OR BACK AND FORTH REPEATEDLY.

Step 3:  Measure length of existing lever arm.  If necessary, trim new arm at the cut line that best matches the length of the old arm (hacksaw recommended for best results).

Step 4:  Slide arm through tank hole until handle shank fits snugly.  Slip lock nut over lever (flat side facing handle).  Start nut on threads (reverse thread).  DO NOT TIGHTEN FULLY.

Step 5:  Connect flapper chain/linkage to arm hole that provides the best lift.  Chain should have slight slack when flapper is in the closed position.  Check lift action for proper flush.  Turn locknut in direction shown.  Thread locknut until snug.  DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN; Over-tightening may crack tank.
